Vase Rock
Little Liuqiu Island · Taiwan
Vase Rock is Little Liuqiu's most iconic site, named for the distinctive mushroom-shaped coral formation that rises from a shallow sandy platform near the island's northern tip. Green sea turtles are present on every single dive here — often five to fifteen individuals in a single session — resting on the sandy bottom or grazing on algae-covered rock. The gentle slope and calm conditions inside the bay make this equally accessible to beginners and photographers seeking extended turtle encounters.
