Punta Sur Wall
Los Testigos · Venezuela
The southern tip of Los Testigos drops into a sheer vertical wall beginning at 12 meters and descending beyond recreational limits, draped in enormous black coral trees, sea fans, and barrel sponges that took centuries to reach their current size. A light to moderate current sweeps the wall face, delivering nutrients that feed dense invertebrate communities and attracting schooling Atlantic spadefish, creole wrasse, and large amberjack that hang off the wall edge in glittering masses. This is the most dramatic topography in the archipelago, combining the visual scale of a deep wall with the life density of an untouched Caribbean reef.
