Planet Rock

Madang · Papua New Guinea

Planet Rock is a seamount rising from 40 meters to within 12 meters of the surface in the open water outside Madang lagoon, its walls encrusted with some of the most spectacular hard and soft coral growth in PNG. Strong currents sweep the pinnacle and concentrate grey reef sharks, barracuda, and schooling jacks around the summit, while the walls offer wall-to-wall sea fans, black corals, and gorgonians in extraordinary abundance.
