Blackfin barracuda form cylindrical schools of several hundred fish that rotate slowly just outside the Blue Hole arch at around 25 to 30 m, using the current deflection caused by the chimney opening to aggregate prey. Their chrome sides catch the beam of light that pours through the arch, creating one of the most photogenic encounters in Micronesian diving.
