Small aggregations of scalloped hammerheads appear in the blue water below the Crevice exit during Guam's cooler winter months from December through March, using the steep drop-off as a navigation landmark on a larger circuit of the island's south coast. Sightings are not guaranteed but are frequent enough that operators include the Crevice on their best-chance hammerhead itineraries.
