Cala Morell Cave
Menorca · Spain
A dramatic submerged cave system cut into the limestone cliffs of Menorca's northwest coast, Cala Morell is the island's signature dive. The entrance opens at around 5 metres; inside, ancient stalactites dip into crystalline water and orange encrusting sponges carpet the walls where light fades. Morays coil in recesses and swarms of cardinalfish hang in the halocline just past the cavern mouth.
