Ses Monges Wall
Menorca · Spain
Off Menorca's southern coast, Ses Monges drops as a vertical limestone wall colonised by a tapestry of yellow and orange gorgonian fans, purple sea urchins, and carpets of encrusting corals. Visibility regularly exceeds 25 metres in summer, making each pass along the wall feel like flying through a hanging garden. Octopus hunt among the boulders at the wall's base while chromis and wrasse work the upper reaches in permanent motion.
