Kleftiko
Milos · Greece
Kleftiko is Milos at its most theatrical — a labyrinth of white volcanic arches, tunnels, and sea caves that plunge beneath the surface into wide posidonia meadows and rocky corridors encrusted with red and yellow sponges. Natural light filters through ceiling cracks creating shifting beams that illuminate schools of bream and the occasional moray hunting the crevices. Octopus are so plentiful here that local divers consider a visit without a sighting a genuine surprise.
