Common resting under coral ledges and in sandy pockets throughout Bandar Khayran. This ray forages for buried molluscs and crustaceans, using electroreception to detect prey hidden beneath the substrate. Their vivid electric-blue spots serve as aposematic warning coloration to deter predators.
