Naxos Town Wall
Naxos · Greece
A gently sloping reef wall on the southern side of Naxos Town harbour descends through dense Posidonia seagrass beds into rocky terrain populated by Mediterranean macro life. Seahorses cling to seagrass blades throughout the meadow zone, while the deeper rocky sections harbour Mediterranean rainbow wrasse, cuttlefish, and bold conger eels occupying ancient stone cavities. The site is perfectly suited to night dives when cuttlefish and octopus emerge to hunt across the seagrass plain under torchlight.
