Underwater at Sitapur Wall

Sitapur Wall

Neil Island (Andaman Islands) · India

Sitapur Wall is Neil Island's most dramatic dive site, a vertical basaltic wall on the island's southern point that plunges from 5 metres to beyond sport diving limits and is festooned with magnificent sea fans, black corals, and barrel sponges. Strong surge at the point flushes through schools of surgeonfish and trevally while the wall's overhangs shelter lionfish, scorpionfish, and moray eels. The site is best dived on an incoming current that delivers clear offshore water with exceptional visibility.
