Scuba Season
Underwater at Wadi Salalah Bay

Wadi Salalah Bay

Dive site

A sheltered bay where a dry wadi meets the sea, creating a gradient of reef types from rubble-slope macro habitat in the shallows to hard coral bommies across a sandy floor at 18 m. The bay's sheltered aspect makes it reliably calm even when northern Gulf winds push swell into exposed headlands. Nudibranch diversity here is exceptional for the Red Sea — at least 28 species have been recorded by early survey divers — and the rubble zone harbours robust populations of pipefish, ghost pipefish, and carpet flathead. An ideal second dive after a deeper morning dive at Seven Sisters.
