Manta Point (Nusa Penida)

Manta Point on the south coast of Nusa Penida is one of the most reliable manta ray cleaning stations in Indonesia. Reef manta rays gather here year-round to be cleaned by wrasse at a series of cleaning stations along a sloping reef and rocky pinnacles. Divers descend to the reef and wait — the mantas often make multiple passes within arm's reach. Oceanic manta rays are occasionally recorded here too. Surge can be powerful on the exposed south coast so conditions require checking before diving.
