Caesar Rock
Pacific Harbour & Beqa Lagoon · Fiji
Caesar Rock is a submerged pinnacle rising from 35 metres to just 8 metres below the surface inside Beqa Lagoon, encrusted with some of the most prolific soft coral growth in Fijian waters. Electric orange and purple gorgonians festoon the upper sections while the rock base hosts a cleaning station frequented by napoleon wrasse and juvenile whitetip reef sharks resting on the sand. The site has no significant current on most dives, making it ideal for photography, and the shallow summit allows extended bottom time during safety stops. Batfish school in midwater and leaf scorpionfish sit motionless among the coral branches.
