Royal Flush
Pacific Harbour & Beqa Lagoon · Fiji
Royal Flush is a coral garden and bommie field on the northern edge of Beqa Lagoon, named for the spectacular concentration of fish life that converges on the site. The hard coral structure is exceptionally dense and intact, covering wide flat reef sections at 10 to 18 metres before dropping to sandy rubble at 25 metres. Moorish idols, hundreds of anthias, and multiple species of butterfly fish represent the visual abundance, while the deeper sand holds garden eels and the occasional marble ray resting motionless. The lack of strong current makes this a reliable site throughout the year for intermediate and beginner divers and it is frequently used for certification dives.
