The leopard shark (also called zebra shark as a juvenile, for its striped pattern) is a slow-moving bottom-resting species that reaches 2.5 m at maturity. It feeds nocturnally on molluscs and small fish. Shark Point is one of the most reliable sites in Thailand to find adults resting on sand at depth, unmoved by diver presence. Listed as Endangered on the IUCN Red List due to targeted fishing across Southeast Asia.
