Kehpara
Pohnpei · Federated States of Micronesia
Kehpara is an offshore reef pinnacle rising from 40 meters to within 8 meters of the surface, positioned just beyond Pohnpei's barrier reef where the open ocean delivers regular pelagic visitors. Manta rays are a frequent presence during the northeast monsoon season, circling the summit in cleaning station behaviour before dropping into the blue. The site combines dramatic topography with excellent visibility and a reliable mix of reef sharks, large trevally, and occasional hammerheads.
