Neptune Islands North (Cage Diving)

Dive site

North Neptune Island is the epicentre of great white shark cage diving in Australia. Mature white sharks up to 5 metres cruise the baited berley trail around the vessel while divers observe from a surface cage and, on suitable days, a submerged mid-water cage. Sea lions haul out on the rocks and juveniles sometimes appear alongside the sharks. Calypso Star Charters holds the exclusive permit and runs the only legal cage dives to this site.
