Rapid Bay New Jetty
Dive site
The operational replacement jetty 50 metres south of the old structure has developed its own marine community on younger pylons. Weedy sea dragons are more numerous here than leafy sea dragons, and the deeper outer end drops to 12 metres where Australian salmon school in winter. Southern blue-ringed octopus inhabit the rubble beneath the deck. The two jetties together make Rapid Bay a full day of diving for any macro enthusiast.
