Cap la Houssaye Reunion
Réunion Island · France
A dramatic basalt headland north of Saint-Gilles where submarine lava formations create an otherworldly landscape of tubes, arches, and overhangs colonised by gorgonian fans and encrusting corals. The site attracts a dense and diverse community of reef fish including surgeonfish, wrasse, and pufferfish, while the geology itself tells the story of Réunion's volcanic origin. A site that rewards slow, exploratory diving over multiple dives.
