Sail Rock (Hin Bai) — Main Wall
Dive site
Sail Rock's main wall is the defining dive of the Gulf of Thailand. The granite pinnacle erupts from the seabed at 40 metres and breaks the surface, its walls coated in encrusting sponges and seafans. Whale sharks are reliably sighted circling the rock from February through May, and the permanent presence of glassfish in the mid-water column creates spectacular schooling displays as trevally drive through them.
