Cala Gonone Canyon
Dive site
A dramatic underwater canyon cuts perpendicular to the Baronie cliffs, narrowing from 20 metres wide at the rim to a slot barely 3 metres across at depth. Both walls are blanketed in orange and purple encrusting sponges, and the confined space concentrates moray eels, scorpionfish, and cuttlefish hunting at close quarters. An atmospheric and intimate alternative when open-water conditions are rough.
