Capo Comino Pinnacles
Dive site
A group of granite pinnacles rising from 35 metres to within 8 metres of the surface, encrusted in pink coralline algae and yellow sponge. The exposed position catches upwellings of cool, nutrient-rich water that push in amberjack, bonito, and the occasional bluefin tuna in late spring. The site sits within the Baronie Coast SPA; fish concentrations are noticeably higher than at unprotected sites.
