Al Marjan Wreck 2 (MV Ras Al Khaimah)

Dive site

The MV Ras Al Khaimah sits alongside the MV Jasim in the Al Marjan cluster, a smaller 35-metre vessel at 15 m that attracts different species to its shallower, more corroded structure. The superstructure has largely collapsed into a reef sculpture that provides maximum surface area for encrusting growth, and the wreck is known for an extraordinary concentration of nudibranch species — over 20 have been catalogued in a single dive. Hawksbill turtles use the site regularly, and schooling surgeonfish darken the water above the hull during morning dives when currents bring plankton inshore. The proximity of the two wrecks makes a natural twin-site dive day.
