Seven Seas Reef
Dive site
Seven Seas Reef is an artificial reef structure positioned in Dubai's coastal waters, purpose-built from concrete modules and deliberately colonised with coral fragments that have grown into a self-sustaining community over more than a decade. The reef sits at 12 to 18 m in the warm Arabian Gulf and hosts a resident population of hawksbill turtles that have made it their home year-round, returning reliably to the same resting ledges. Whale sharks visit the outer margin of the reef and the wider Dubai coastal waters from November to February, following seasonal plankton concentrations, and stingray and bluespotted ribbontail rays are found on the sandy margins throughout the year.
