Tarpon Alley
Dive site
A shallow sand channel between two reef fingers at 6 to 12 m where Atlantic tarpon over 1.5 m assemble year-round, hanging motionless in the current with their mirrored scales catching the dappled light. The alley is accessible to open-water divers and the regular tarpon presence makes it one of Placencia's most reliable encounters.
