Kandooma Thila
South Male Atoll · Maldives
Kandooma Thila is a dramatic submerged reef pinnacle swept by powerful currents that deposit an extraordinary richness of soft corals and sponges across its overhanging ledges. Whitetip reef sharks cruise in the blue water alongside the thila while schools of bigeye trevally and surgeonfish swirl in silver columns above the reef crest. The site is regarded as one of the premier thila dives in South Male Atoll.
