Underwater at Pintuyan Wall

Pintuyan Wall

Southern Leyte / Sogod Bay · Philippines

A dramatic vertical wall on the eastern side of Sogod Bay that drops from 5 metres to beyond 60 metres, festooned with enormous sea fans, black coral trees, and dense soft coral growth. Thresher sharks are regularly spotted at depth during early morning dives, circling just at the edge of visibility. The shallower sections of the wall are carpeted with hard corals in excellent condition, and schooling barracuda, trevally, and big-eye tuna sweep past in dense formations. One of Southern Leyte's premier wall dives.
