Sulamadaha Point
Ternate · Indonesia
A rocky headland on Ternate's northwest coast where the volcanic reef meets strong upwelling currents, creating a feeding frenzy of reef fish and drawing in larger pelagics. Pristine staghorn and table coral gardens in the shallows give way to a colourful wall teeming with anthias and basslets. Bumphead parrotfish regularly visit in formation at dawn.
