Tomagoba
Ternate · Indonesia
A black sand muck site on Ternate's southwest coast that rivals the best of Lembeh for critter diversity. The volcanic sediment is home to mimic octopus, wunderpus, flamboyant cuttlefish, and a remarkable variety of nudibranchs. Night dives here are exceptional, with coconut octopus emerging to hunt across the dark substrate.
