Balingasay Slope

Dive site

Balingasay Slope is a gently inclined muck and rubble site on Tingloy's west coast where consistent volcanic sand provides ideal substrate for a remarkable density of burrowing and camouflaged species. Stargazers, waspfish, and seamoths are regular sightings along the 8 to 22 meter zone, while tiger shrimp emerge from their burrows on night dives and coconut octopus are encountered year-round. The site is shallow enough to allow multi-hour dives, and its calm, protected position makes it suitable for beginners keen to develop macro identification skills.
