Renggis Island
Tioman Island · Malaysia
A small rocky islet just off Tioman's main jetty, Renggis Island is encircled by sloping reefs alive with blacktip reef sharks patrolling the sandy channels and green turtles grazing on seagrass patches. Enormous table corals and branching staghorns provide shelter for juvenile reef fish, while napoleon wrasse cruise the mid-water with characteristic unhurried confidence. The site's accessibility and consistently calm conditions make it an ideal introduction to Tioman's rich marine park ecosystem.
