Tiger Reef
Tioman Island · Malaysia
Tiger Reef is Tioman's premier pelagic spectacle, a submerged pinnacle rising from 30 metres where enormous schools of bigeye trevally and dogtooth tuna wheel in tight silver formations around the rocky summit. Napoleon wrasse of impressive size hold station in the current seams, while whitetip reef sharks rest in the crevices below. The site demands some current experience but rewards with an open-ocean energy rarely matched in Malaysian waters.
