Kelleston Drain
Tobago · Trinidad and Tobago
Home to one of the Caribbean's largest living brain corals — a Colpophyllia natans specimen estimated at over 2 metres across and hundreds of years old that sits at the centre of a sloping reef like a cathedral dome. The site draws steady currents that feed nutrient-rich water up the slope, sustaining dense schools of creole wrasse, blue chromis, and occasional eagle rays. Experienced guides know exactly where nurse sharks rest in the deeper sand channels.
