Cape Nelson Wall
Tufi · Papua New Guinea
Cape Nelson is Tufi's signature deep wall, a vertical reef face dropping from 8 meters to beyond 60 meters in a near-vertical curtain encrusted with giant sea fans, black coral trees, and fields of wire coral that create one of the most dramatic reef wall spectacles in PNG. The cape's exposed position generates strong upwellings that drive exceptional fish diversity, with regular hammerhead shark, dogtooth tuna, and manta ray encounters in the blue water alongside the wall.
