Underwater at Grace Bay Wall

Grace Bay Wall

Turks and Caicos Islands · Turks and Caicos Islands

The Grace Bay Wall runs along the northern edge of the Caicos Bank barrier reef, just offshore from Grace Bay Beach. The top of the reef sits at 8 to 12 metres, making it accessible for all certification levels before the wall drops steeply to beyond 30 metres. The shallow reef cap is exceptionally healthy with high coral cover, and the wall itself hosts dense aggregations of French angelfish, rock beauty, and large parrotfish. Humpback whale sounds are audible underwater from January through March as whales migrate through the Turks Island Passage.
