Shark Hotel
Turks and Caicos Islands · Turks and Caicos Islands
Shark Hotel is a cleaning station on the Northwest Point wall where Caribbean reef sharks reliably gather in numbers that make it one of the most reliable shark dives in the Atlantic. At the cleaning station at around 20 metres, five to fifteen reef sharks at a time circle the coral heads while cleaner wrasse tend to them. The site earns its name from the regularity of the aggregation — divers kneel on sand patches and watch the sharks move in slow arcs overhead. Blacktip sharks occasionally join the gathering, and the wall below hosts large schools of horse-eye jacks.
