The Wall Providenciales
Turks and Caicos Islands · Turks and Caicos Islands
The western edge of Providenciales drops vertically from 15 m to beyond 2000 m in one of the cleanest walls in the Caribbean. Visibility regularly hits 30 m and oceanic creatures cruise the blue: spotted eagle rays, Atlantic spadefish, and the occasional oceanic whitetip appear without warning. The wall face itself is draped in deep-water gorgonians and black coral trees. Current is mild and the topography rewards slow, hovering dives.
