Te Namo Lagoon
Tuvalu · Tuvalu
Te Namo is Funafuti's central lagoon, a vast shallow inland sea studded with bommies — isolated coral pinnacles rising from the sandy floor — each one a self-contained ecosystem teeming with juvenile fish, nudibranchs, and resident cleaner stations. The protected, calm water makes this the perfect site for unhurried macro photography and close observation of cleaning station behavior across dozens of different fish species.
