Tutuba Island Reef
Espiritu Santo · Vanuatu
Tutuba Island sits in the sheltered waters off Santo's west coast, its outer reef dropping away in a spectacular wall draped with enormous sea fans and black coral trees. Currents channeling between the island and the mainland concentrate pelagic life including regularly spotted oceanic mantas and silvertip sharks, while the shallower reef terrace bursts with hard coral formations in perfect condition.
