Naviti Reef Wall
Yasawa Islands · Fiji
Naviti Reef Wall on the western side of Naviti Island is a textbook hard coral reef that descends in a series of broad terraces before meeting a sheer wall at 18 metres, the face of which is alive with gorgonians, soft tree corals, and resident clouds of anthias in orange and yellow. The site's position on Naviti's west coast exposes it to reliable afternoon current that cleans the reef and aggregates planktivores, making it a reliable location for large schools of big-eye trevally and batfish. Visibility here routinely exceeds 30 metres in the dry season, offering some of the most expansive underwater panoramas in the Yasawa chain.
