Kekova's protected status and seagrass meadows bordering the sunken city make it a reliable foraging ground for loggerhead turtles of all ages. Turtles graze on seagrass and jellyfish in the calm lagoon between Kekova Island and the mainland, often resting on submerged walls between feeding bouts. The combination of turtles moving through ancient ruins creates some of the most photogenic moments available in Turkish diving.
