HMS Vixen
Bermuda · Bermuda
HMS Vixen is a Victorian-era British gunboat deliberately scuttled in 1896 to block a channel, now resting upright in just 10 metres of crystalline water near Ireland Island, making it one of the most photogenic and accessible wreck dives in the Atlantic. The intact iron hull is entirely encrusted in orange cup corals, sea fans, and sponges, with massive schools of sergeant majors and blue tangs hovering above the deck in shimmering curtains. Green moray eels occupy every crevice and porthole, and the site's shallow depth makes it ideal for extended bottom times and photography in extraordinary natural light.
