Octopus are abundant in the rocky substrate surrounding the main pinnacle, particularly in the sandy gully zones where they construct distinctive den entrances piled with discarded shells. They are most active at dusk and on night dives but reliably visible by day in the crevice systems. The site's macro potential extends to nudibranchs, flatworms, and various crustaceans sheltering among the coralline algae.

How is this calculated?

Sighting evidence is compiled from iNaturalist observation records within a set proximity radius, filtered for quality-grade observations. “Last confirmed” is the date of the most recent research-grade record. Record count covers a rolling 24-month window. Confidence reflects record count, recency, and consistency of seasonal signal.
