Tarpon Cave
Corn Islands · Nicaragua
A shallow swim-through cavern system on the southern end of Little Corn, Tarpon Cave gets its name from the resident group of Atlantic tarpon that congregate in the cavern's dim interior, their massive silver scales catching any stray shaft of light with cinematic effect. At 8 to 15 metres, it is accessible to Open Water divers and doubles as the island's best night dive, when octopus and toadfish emerge across the surrounding rubble.
