The dense stonework of the fort foundations provides exceptional octopus habitat, with individuals occupying virtually every large crevice across the site. Their hunting activity is visible throughout the day as they move across rubble areas targeting crabs and hermit crabs. This site is considered one of the highest-density octopus locations in Tunisian coastal waters.
