Scalloped hammerheads aggregate at the San Miguel Bay drop-off from November through February, drawn by the nutrient upwellings that concentrate their prey. Schools of 20 to 50 individuals are reported by experienced local guides, typically patrolling at 25 to 40 meters along the wall's steepest sections. This is one of the lesser-known hammerhead aggregation sites in the Philippines, offering encounters without the boat traffic of more famous locations.
