Bronze whalers congregate in False Bay in impressive numbers, particularly around Shark Alley where baitfish and seal offal provide reliable foraging opportunities. They are highly social sharks that form loose aggregations and can be observed in groups of dozens during peak feeding periods. Unlike the great whites, bronze whalers are slender and fast-moving, and their curiosity around divers makes cage diving with them a genuinely electrifying experience.
