Habili Ali
Fury Shoals · Egypt
Habili Ali is a submerged pinnacle rising from 300 m of open water to within 12 m of the surface, its isolated position making it a magnet for pelagic life in an otherwise featureless stretch of the Fury Shoals seascape. Oceanic whitetip sharks are the headline attraction, often circling the pinnacle in groups of three to eight and approaching divers with characteristically direct curiosity. The upper plateau is coated in dense soft coral and hosts a resident population of Napoleon wrasse, making the site rewarding for both pelagic hunters and reef enthusiasts.
