White-tip reef sharks are among the most site-faithful of all sharks: individual fish at Shark Point Gili Trawangan have been identified by fin markings in photo-ID catalogues maintained by local operators across multiple years. They rest on the seabed during the day, relying on buccal pumping to breathe while stationary, and hunt cooperatively at night on the reef flat.

How is this calculated?
